The General Manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Samuel Opoku Nti, has commended both the technical and playing body of the club for their recent revival.
The Porcupine Warriors recorded a three-streak win against no other sides than current leaders Ashgold, their bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak and lately Wa All Stars.
And for Opoku Nti, the timing of the revival was crucial, taking into account where they were placed. They were nearing the relegation zone but are now retracing their steps back to the top four.
Kotoko are placed fifth with 38 points on the First Capital Plus Premier League log with four games remaining and their recent work rate, which makes them potential winners in their games at hand, also excites the under-fire manager.
He said after the All Stars 3-1 victory in Kumasi that 'he who laughs last laughs best. I am happy about the team's revival. We are not just winning but playing well.
'I am happy because when you look at where we were on the table, what happened to us and what is happening now, I can only commend the entire team for a job well done.
'We have four matches to go, and if the way we are playing now is anything to go by, then we can say we will finish well or defend the title depending on what will happen to those ahead of us,' he added.
Kotoko return to the South this weekend after the Hearts of Oak victory to face Inter Allies in Tema.
They will later host relegation-bound BA United, travel to Sekondi to battle Hasaacas and crown it with a clash against another league title aspirants Aduana Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium.
